What is the benefit of choosing a Member of The Society of Garden Designers?
The process of garden design requires vision, skill, training and expertise. There are many garden designers practising in the UK today, but not all have the necessary qualities and training to turn your aspirations into reality.
To qualify for membership, garden designers are required to pass a strict SGD accreditation process and must have been in business for at least three years. A Member of the SGD is a designer who has passed the adjudication process, showing that they have high levels of training and skill a top designer requires.
Other than having sound horticultural knowledge, a Registered Member of the SGD will have the spatial skills and creative intelligence to transform and unify a site, from the smallest courtyard to a substantial public space.
A garden designer using the SGD Registered Member logo is a fully accredited, Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers. These Registered Members may use the initials MSGD.
By choosing a Registered Member who has been rigorously assessed by a panel of adjudicators and in business for a minimum of 3 years, you can be assured that their work is of the highest standard, they are insured, and that they adhere to our Code of Professional Conduct.
